We are always on the lookout for trying out new things to satisfy our palates. Upon knowing that a new pizza house opened in town, we certainly scheduled a visit to see what’s something new up for us.

Pizzaro Fastfood and Pizza is a chain that originated in Aklan. It opened its first branch in Iloilo City along Jalandoni St. near the University of San Agustin (City Proper). It has a relatively “cheap-looking” signage from the outside look but the interiors are actually good and cozy. It occupies a little space though but fit enough to make you stay and enjoy some slices of their pizza for a while. The lighting is a bit more subdued and the walls are painted with Iloilo-themed murals.

For starters we had Greekiza pizza, some Vanilla Coke Float and Cheese Bread. Greekiza is your typical homemade pizza with bits of tuna chunks, slices of olives, homemade sauce and generous melted cheese. The thick crust is soft on the inside and crisp enough on the edges. Nevertheless, it is still your homemade pizza without anything enthralling on the taste.

The Vanilla Coke Float is not what I expected. It’s like an inferior copy-cat of McDo’s. The ice cream on top is a bit fluffy and the coke is in its poorer taste. A small bun in cheese flavor is their own rendition of the Cheese Bread.

Last on our list are two flavors of pasta, the Seafood Marinara and the Cheddar and Cheese. I like the Seafood Marinara because it is overloaded with squids, prawns and other seafood delights. Though the sound of Cheddar and Cheese makes you hungry, it actually does not fill our appetite since it is ordinarily presented and even taste like one too. Both pastas come with one piece of garlic bread and the Seafood Marinara includes one piece cheese bread.

Overall, the dining offer at Pizzaro is ideally for students who wanted to get away from their stack of books. Students can chip in together for a plate of pizza while allowing themselves to forget the heavy loads of studying.

Pizzaro has recently opened a new branch along Jalandoni Street in Jaro, in between Jollibee and SM Hypermarket.

      under construction near western union beside julies bakeshop it is i think luna st.lapaz or mision road extension.a perfect site,busy street and in between 2 big hopsitals the iloilo mission hospital and don benito hospital.

That’s how softdrink floats normally look like. The ice cream melts and bubbles up over the soda. Not very pretty. McDo and Jollibee make theirs presentable by loading the plastic cup full of ice so the ice cream sits on the ice to prevent it from mixing immediately with the softdrink and so it doesn’t look like a spongy mess. In the process, you get lots of ice and very little softdrink in your float. Both fastfood chains i suspect do this not just for presentation purposes but to save on softdrink and earn a bigger profit. That’s why when I order softdrink floats from either of these two food places, I always request that they use very little ice as possible. As to the taste however, i guess that would also depend on the kind of ice cream they use.

  thanks for the idea i will tell my partner about this…lately they focus on the pizza alone..we caught unprepared for the demand of our pizza.maybe we will take time on some concern but i think there are a lot of concern already that’s why right now we are looking for the another right person behind us to help.

    You’re welcome. Though I prefer them without ice, if you should decide to add ice to your softdrink floats, please remember not to use so much of it like the popular fastfoods do. You don’t want the customers to end up with very little to drink. Besides it defeats the point of a softdrink float: soda and ice cream are supposed to mix and give the drink a new flavor.

Mr. Mendoza, I am the chef and founder of PIZZARO and it hurts when you read about someone not liking the food offered or portraying the food as ‘just your regular pizza” and yet took the time to blog it? It’s much better that if the item or article is purely nonsense or not extraordinary better don’t blog about it at all. But, since you have already here’s one thing for the thought, the pizza taste ordinary because they replaced mozzarella with a local magnolia mozza cheese and also one type from a chinese importer of an australian 3rd class mozza. and by the way the sauce is not homemade it is processed and commercial. Anyways the right person is none to be found because at first they’ll gonna promise you to be their partner and when they know something about the business they’ll gonna buy you out in a very cheap price. so that’s it they’re cheap. thanx
