Mr. Misono – An Affordable Japanese Restaurant in Iloilo

Mr. Misono by Misono Express is a recent addition to the limited line of Japanese restaurants in Iloilo City.

The small green trimmings on the outside conceal what supposed to be an elegant interior. Although appearing rather modest on its outer view, not to mention the frenzied locality, nonetheless excusable with its cozy and chic ambiance as well as relaxing and romantic tunes, creating the ideal arrangement for long-time gatherings of friends or lovers in date. Mr. Misono by Misono Express, as a matter of fact, diffuses an eventful intersection to a more exclusive and stylish dining, making it more appealing to new and existing clientele.

I wonder if it still have the same owner as Crave Burger before. Last year when I was regularly ordering at Crave Burger Jalandoni St., Jaro branch a Misono Express menu was fused into the Crave Burger menu. I believe the Beef Misono I tried was good. Looks like Misono Express was the beta version of Mr. Misono. I guess I have to check it out to find out. Delicious post as usual, keep it up! ;D

I think they were part owner of Crave Burger before but something might gone wrong so they started focusing on building another brand. Mr. Misono is actually a spinoff of Misono Express in Jalandoni which has also a branch or two in Manila. :) Thanks for dropping by drift! :D

After reading the article yesterday, my wife and me took the opportunity of dining there this noon when we had to do some errands in Atrium nearby. As the previous comments suggest, it seems indeed to be a spin-off from Crave Burger. The WiFi hotspot’s SSID tells so — and the password likewise (of course I will not disclose that information here ;-) We picked the Mixed Misono along with Seafood Sukiyaki, and the recommended California Maki. All three dishes were delicious; I’d rate them four stars out of five. I have to admit that I did my best to stick with the chopsticks, but had to give up on the Misono and blamefully fall back on spoon and fork. Considering the fact that a recent overhaul of the location took place, it would have been good to include the sofa by bolstering it up instead of just patching the surface fissures. Minus one. The music was lounge style, unobtrusive. Still a bit too loud for my taste; seems like I was sitting directly in the sonic focus of a speaker. My overall rating of Mr. Misono is four out of five.

Glad you liked the food as we did. I heard they will be doing some renovations in the interior such as adding Japanese lanterns etc. to make the place look more Japanese-ish. They are also installing the new signage in the coming weeks.
