Formerly known as Mama Marias Pizza, Dos Marias Pizzeria serves the largest pizza in town. Located along Gen. Luna street here in Iloilo City, Dos Marias Pizzeria has been the talk of the town since it opened because of their gigantic pizza you can’t just imagine. They can be big as a round table big enough to serve several people.
Last Sunday I was able to visit this place for the first time when the meeting of Iloilo Bloggers Organization was held there. We ordered a humongous 32-inch pizza sliced into 30 mini pieces. It was as large as the diameter of the table we were in. It tastes like your ordinary thin crust pizza though just made bigger. Nothing really spectacular with the taste but better than I expected and still a worth trying when in Iloilo or even in Bacolod. It is topped with ham, peppers, mushrooms, pineapple and cheese. The crust was like a Piaya (local delicacy known to Iloilo and Bacolod) as Flavour’s of Iloilo blogger Jorp remarked.
The 32-inch pizza is a good bargain at P900+ and could be a good alternative to the popular pizza chains here. The place is an open air and there is no air-conditioned room available.
