An Afternoon of Fine Italian Wines at Henry’s

Italy is known as one of the oldest-wine producers and over the years, most of their wines are being exported to the different regions in the world. We have come to taste and relish in the unique and sweet taste of Italian wines as these have penetrated the country for several years now.

To further introduce authentic Italian wines into the Ilonggo market, Cebu-based wine distributor Masterchef Republic held an afternoon of wine tasting at Henry’s Wines and Liquors featuring the finest wines from Enio Ottaviani winery in Italy. Great selections of red and white wines were lined up to capture our taste buds and let us appreciate good wines at its best. Of course, we get to take home a few significant tips on how to make our wine drinking even a better one.

Tilapia, tilapia, tilapia at Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

Tilapia, tilapia, tilapia – Wouldn’t it be nice to try different dishes of tilapia? For Lake Sebu townsfolks, it is nothing unusual.

Our trip to Lake Sebu is one memorable experience. Aside from the overload of tilapia for lunch, we even get to tour around the beautiful lakes of Lake Sebu on a habal-habal for four (including the driver) and witness the grandeur of their famous seven falls. (Well, we only get to see one since we didn’t tried the zipline. Fear of heights, that is! )

Lake Sebu is a popular natural lake in the province of South Cotaboto and a main source of irrigation. There are three lakes around the area. The biggest is Lake Sebu, second is Lake Seloton and the third one is Lake Lahit. Right now, a number of resorts and restaurants surround Lake Sebu due to its thriving tilapia harvest and of course, the beauty of the lakes.

Soban Korean Restaurant – Dumaguete City

If we were to describe the night we dined at Soban Korean Restaurant in Dumaguete City, it would be – REMARKABLE. Not only were we pampered with so much courtesy but we also get to enjoy unexpected freebies.

Korean cuisine is very close to our hearts because of its comforting appeal and satisfying taste. Every once in a while, we crave for the soothing yet exciting flavor of Jjampong, the overwhelming yet gratifying fill of Bibimbap and the fun yet uplifting way to eat Sam-gyup-sal. Top these off with Kimchi and everything seems to be worthwhile.

While in Dumaguete, we didn’t pass the chance to dine in a famous Korean Restaurant there. Soban Korean Restaurant is a quaint and lovely resto with traditionally inspired interior and a cozy allure. You can actually feel the warm welcome not just with the comfortable setup but with the excellent customer service. Upon arriving at the resto, even the security guard greets you at the door.

Wining at Henry’s

A picturesque setup overlooking a grand plaza creates a lovely place to wine with friends. Chatting with comrades all night long can instantly lead to an unforgettable night while lovers find a perfect spot for a romantic moment. At Henry’s, creating a memory has its place.

Henry’s Wines & Liquors at Plazuela de Iloilo is a humble abode for wine lovers who simply want to relax and share a bottle or two with friends. Wine selections have never been so extensive here in Iloilo both for chilling in at their intimate space or taking out. Mexican delights at Coco Amigos in Dumaguete

Mexican food is always an exciting addition to our top food list. The spicy and saucy blend of salsa, the crunchy taste of nachos and of course combining all of these creates the perfect snack or perhaps a satisfying meal. Needless to say, there is more to Mexican cuisine than nachos and salsas thus making us explore more of this wonderful food creation.

In Dumaguete, one can actually taste a bit of almost everything with the attractive line of international restaurants. A Mexican restaurant is nevertheless present in this procession of food trips and a top choice is the Coco Amigos Mexican Restaurant and Bar, beautifully located in front of the rather picturesque Rizal Boulevard.

KRI Restaurant in Dumaguete City

A long stroll along the main highways of Dumaguete City deserves a restful break. While an unrestricted amount of rice and main dish typically complements an exhausting walk, a nice and quiet dine in a rather modish restaurant can sometimes offer some benefits.

KRI Restaurant is a chic and small restaurant with a view from the outside of Silliman University. The place is fairly near to the main entrance of SU, though you have to walk a few feet from the university. Nevertheless, it is easy to locate with a huge sign outside that can be spotted from afar.
