One of the much awaited experience for our trip to Davao City was the Crabs All You Can. It is eating as many crabs as you want for a fixed price. Of course, it entails a little strain in the neck and a few heartburn later, but what the heck!
We had a very filling lunch for our second day at Crabs Buffet, a small sized restaurant near Sampaguita Hotel called Glamour Resto ‘n Caterer. I was actually fighting a cold fever since the night before but I wouldn’t dare miss eating a crab buffet. For php328, exclusive of drinks, you will have all access to their unlimited crabs and the numerous line of desserts.
The crabs are not the usual steamed crabs but it is really tasty. It is cooked with a lot of sauce creating a strong sweet and salty flavor and the scent was indeed enticing. The meat is soft enough to eat and cooked just right. You will definitely want to keep coming back for more.
Since I was not fully recovered that time, I only had three crabs (half a crab per piece). But, I was really enjoying every crab I eat.
Of course, I did not miss the opportunity to have all the desserts I want. (I am a sweet tooth you know)
There is a wide assortment of lip smacking desserts to choose from. Graham cakes topped with fruits, leche flan, macaroons, homemade cupcakes, macaroni salad, fruit salad, fresh fruits and some other native desserts. For sure I would start with some leche flan, macaroons and cupcakes. It was actually good, similar to homemade cooking with the common ingredients. Then, I finished off with the taste of the rest of the selection. (Imagine what cured me that day. :))
Overall, the experience was great. We could not even stand up after the eating bonanza but we pulled our butts off since we had a lot of places to go to before we head home. (We actually have an early morning flight back to Iloilo the next day, 6:30 a.m.)
